As you are all aware, HR 2550 'The Recreational Boating Act of 2007'
is dead, which sticks as we had close to, if not more than 100 co-sponsors in the House. I was told when the number of co-sponsors gets that high it usually goes to vote a short after reaching that number. Either way, we still have our work cut out for us as Senate has purposed S. 2766 ' The Clean Boating Act of 2008' I was informed yesterday afternoon that this will and should be coming to a vote within the next couple months. What this means is the plan of attack I had discussed with you all recently in emails and thru the web-site has to pushed from 2nd gear into 4th gear so to speak in getting these letters of support out to our Senators. Attached here are from letters for NJ and PA Senators for you to make copies and pass along to your members, family , friends, neighbors and co-workers to sign. I also placed a link on the web-sit for these letters so they can be downloaded there as well. Please pass the word on this to everyone.
